We once again had a record number of volunteers and over 90 families with disabilities come together to enjoy a Day at the Beach this past Saturday!
We had plenty of waves, sunshine and a never ending sea of smiles:)
Pono joined us for his first time surfing as part of a surprise birthday present from his family. What a way to spend your birthday, catching waves with your new friends at AccesSurf! You can tell from his smile in the picture how excited he is!
Thank you to everyone who came out on the holiday weekend to make it all happen.
Special THANK YOU to:
The Wounded Warrior Project for showing your support
The Greene Waters Group for sponsoring lunch for all the participants and volunteers!
We send a fond farewell and a Hui Ho to Damon Elias as he moves to the mainland. Damon has been a very part of our Assisted Swim Team. He has been a key leader for many years and was instrumental in helping us design our adaptive swim clinic program. We wish you well Damon! Thank you for all the years of service!
Oh yeah.. and Happy Birthday Deb!
