Humble in his words, giving in his actions. That about sums up Junior – who we are excited to celebrate as our Volunteer of the Month and equally sad that Junior is soon leaving our fair island.
Junior came to us through the Single Marine and Sailor Program, who have been a crucial group of volunteers to us for years now (we love you SMSP!). Junior’s dedication and just pure stoke shone through from his first event. Junior spends his time volunteering with our Water Transfer Team, showing up with a giant smile on his face, he puts his head down as soon as the program starts and goes to work!
It is a true loss to say goodbye to Junior, but we are so grateful to have had the chance to know him and have benefited so very much from his service. Best of luck in your new chapter Junior! Aloha from all of us here at AccesSurf, you will always be a part of our ohana!
“What does accessurf mean to me? Accessurf is cool. A group of people coming together to help others. The simple pleasures that are taken for granted daily are made possible to those who cannot naturally enjoy these pleasures. If only for a few hours, once a month, Accessurf allows for people to live outside of their physical situation and just enjoy the Aloha lifestyle of Hawaii.”
