If you’ve come to any of our Day at the Beach programs, then more than likely you have seen the smile of one of our favorite AccesSurfer’s, Cisco.
Cisco is our unofficial Ambassador of Aloha, greeting volunteers and participants alike and spreading the love. He seems to be everywhere at our events – swimming in the swim zone, surfing, hanging out near the lunch tent talking story and making friends.
We’re happy to share with you all a brief and unedited interview we did with Cisco at our last Day at the Beach.
What is your name and how old are you?
I am Cisco, I am thirty three years old.
How long have you been coming to AccesSurf?
All my life.
Which do you like better, surfing or swimming – and why?
Surfing, because you can get on a board.
What is your favorite part about AccesSurf?
All the nice people, they won’t let you drown.
How do you help out at AccesSurf?
Be safe, downshift, drink a lot of water, and wear sunscreen.
What does AccesSurf mean to you?
This is a good program, we are like family.
If you had one sentence to say about AccesSurf, what would you say?
This is a good program.
Thanks for the love Cisco! Though, since we are only eleven years old, maybe you haven’t been participating your whole life but we know what you mean. 🙂
