Here is a bit about how Chris got involved with AccesSurf and what it means to him….
Aloha! I first met Mark Marble at Sunset beach 8 half years ago. I was riding my bike to go surf ehukai beach break next to pipeline. A mutual friend Uncle Brian stopped me and introduced me to Mark saying something about an upcoming event called Day at the Beach. He told me all kine stories about the kind of things we would be doing. I said I could come and had done this same thing in Santa Cruz , CA at Cowls Beach that I would bring my Ohana. My young daughters were asking me about people and reasons why they were in wheelchairs and other things about disabilities. They didn’t understand and I thought this would be a great time to have them learn and help people at the same time .I’ve been with AccesSurf the whole entire time.I have been able to help a lot of good people that really were happy that we all put so much into our day and enjoyed doing it! I am proud to be part of this team of great people I have received other opportunities to help with the Wounded Warrior program and as the H.S.A surf contest series coordinator so stoked on life… mahalo hui ho
