Linda Harrington has been a part of our AccesSurf ‘ohana for many years, we are embarrassed it took us this long to highlight her! You can find her holding it down at our Assisted Swim area at Day at the Beach making sure all our participants get in the water safely and have the most incredible time. Her bright smile and shining attitude can be spotted from miles down the beach. We don’t know what we would do without her!
Here is more from Linda:
Aloha, my name is Linda Harrington, I grew up Maui and moved to Oahu 15 years years ago. I like to boogie board, exercise, dance, and do anything that gets my body moving!
I heard about AccesSurf through a fellow bus driver who’s son has autism. After retiring from 25 years of driving the bus, she suggested I go and see what it was all about.
AccesSurf means being my best self for everybody.
My favorite memory is the looks on everyone’s faces when they get into the water. It is so great and heartwarming!
Everyone should know AccesSurf is a great place to have fun and be of service at the same time. Just reminds me of how lucky I am to have everything I have and I am so thankful for you all.
